The Harrison Township Fire Department is a full service emergency response agency providing a variety of life saving and prevention services.

Fire Suppression: Harrison Township Fire Fighters staff two fire stations with a minimum of three firefighters at each. Fire suppression responses are augmented by an automatic mutual aid agreement with the Mount Clemens Fire Department. In addition Harrison Township participates in the Macomb County Fire Chief’s Mutual Aid Agreement providing countywide mutual aid for large-scale emergencies.

Emergency Medical Services: In 1972 the Harrison Township Fire Department became the first licensed paramedic provider in the State of Michigan. Today, that tradition continues. All Harrison Township Fire Department Personnel are licensed paramedics providing emergency medical services with three advanced life support ambulances.

Fire Prevention: In addition to their other duties, fire inspections are conducted by on duty personnel through a fire company inspection program. Many Harrison Township firefighters are certified NFPA fire inspectors. During business hours fire engines and life support units can be seen at area businesses conducting life safety inspections.

Public Education: Harrison Township Fire Fighters reach every pre-school and elementary age student with fire safety education curriculum annually. In addition, fire fighters visit each elementary school annually to teach water safety.

These services combine to make Harrison Township a safe community to live, work, and play. On behalf of our family, thank you for the privilege of protecting yours.
