Registering to Vote

Township residents may register to vote by mail, at any Secretary of State Office or at the County or Township Clerk’s office using this registration form.

Changes in Election Law will automatically register you to vote when you perform updates at the Secretary of State, unless you decline. Michigan Law requires that the address on your voter registration card must match your driver’s license. Any address change to either will automatically change your address on both documents.

To be eligible to vote in an upcoming election, voters can register by mail, fax or online up to 15 days before an election. In the 14 days prior to an election, voters must register in person at the Township Clerk’s Office, and can do so up until 8 p.m. on Election Day.

To verify that you are registered, give us a call at 586-466-1404, or check with the Secretary of State here.
